Fall In Love With Sedona, Arizona

14 Aug

I KNOW we aren’t quite in fall… But, I thought we could all look forward to it!

Don’t you just love fall?  The kids go back to school, football season starts and the trees become a kaleidoscope of colors.  It is also an ideal time for a getaway to Sedona.  Fall in Sedona is a special time of year.  The warm days turn into crisp nights (yes, you will need a jacket!) and the Red Rocks are sprinkled with fall color.

If you decide to take that trip to Sedona this fall, there are a few activities that you can’t miss.  First, is a drive up Oak Creek Canyon.  A beautiful drive any time of year, Oak Creek becomes magical in the fall.  You are surrounded by a combination of awe-inspiring Red Rocks and gorgeous fall foliage.   Second, is a trip to the local vineyards.  The vineyards are located about seven miles outside of Sedona along Page Springs Road.  This is yet another drive that is absolutely breathtaking in the fall.  The trees are bursting with red, yellow and orange leaves. A day sipping wine (or any beverage) enjoying the view, is a day well spent.  Finally, you must take a drive to the Grand Canyon.  Yes, the Canyon is a natural wonder, but during the fall season, the drive to the Canyon is wonderful too.  Deep green pines are interspersed with shots of bright yellow as the Aspens turn color.  Then you will round a bend and be greeted by entire fields of those same brightly colored Aspens, looking as if the leaves are on fire against the white trunks.

This fall, come to Sedona and soak up some local color and bring your camera, because this is a trip you will want to remember!
